Ralf Schumacher joins Ravenol1 December 2017 | Brian Ralf Schumacher comes from a racing family – his brother Michael is a seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, his son David and nephew Mick are also successful drivers in karting and formula racing. He has successfully competed in multiple motorsport disclipines, starting his career in karting, he then moved on to Formula 3, Japanese Formula 3000 and Formula Nippon before making the transition to Formula 1. After this, he drove for Mercedes in the DTM, retiring from active motorsport in 2012. Today, Ralf is a team manager in ADAC Formula 4 and a leading partner at the ADAC Kart Academy. As a respected motorsport expert, he is also a highly sought-after co-commentator on German television. The former Formula One and DTM driver has now joined RAVENOL as Brand Ambassador and Technical Consultant and is using his experience and knowledge to assist RAVENOL in developing a new generation of racing lubricants. These days more and more motorsport categories are contested with close-to-production specification cars, so developing lubricants for road use to a performance level that also meets the demands of motorsport represents a logical step for RAVENOL. A particularly good example is RAVENOL VMP 5W-30 – the only motor-racing oil in the Audi Motorsport sport-component catalogue for the Audi RS3 LMS TCR (p. 43) – that has received official OEM Approval for the use in day-to-day traffic by Audi, BMW, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Mercedes and VW at the same time. On the basis of this success, together with Ralf, RAVENOL has developed a new range of Mid-SAPS and Full-SAPS engine oils meeting the latest ACEA C3 quality-level demands whilst fulfilling the demands of modern race and rally car engines. |
